DOCTOR WHO - RIVER SONG

River Song have proven to be most interesting character in DOCTOR WHO lore. She knows him more than he knows himself, only because they haven't met yet, even though they keep running into each other.

We, the readers and viewers, know that she dies even though River Song doesn't know that "Spoilers"

This is what make her very unique. Can you imagine a character knowing everything about the hero of your novel, but can never tell the reader or even hero how you met, AND at the same time you know how this character dies but you can never let them know when, where, how and why.

Time traveling does give me a headache

Thursday night without Vampire Diaries...BORING

Vampire Diaries owned Thursday nights but tonight I faced with the reality that I'm going to be on a four month fast of no Vampire Diaries!  I know HBO's True Blood will be here in two months or sooner but it doesn't answer my questions:

Elena Gilbert now be in love with Damon Salvatore since Stefan has coo coo for cocopuffs?

How will Bonnie react to the fact that her boyfriend can now talk to his dead girlfriends?

Caroline is now dating Tyler, a werewolf, how can vampire and werewolf relationship last?

There's so many more questions so just like the rest of the world I guess I'll just go pick up a Vampire Diaries book and pick up the second season of the dvd

Books before they were Famous : Pretty Little Lairs

ABC Family's Pretty Little Lairs is a big hit but before it was on television it was a successful YA book series  by Sara Shepard

However being that tv shows do take a different paths than book (its reviled who is A in the book) it doesn't mean the show going to be the exact. So you may have to continue watching it and see what the producers have in mind.

But for those of you have read the books would be happened to know there is a Pretty Little Lairs Tv tie-in novel so who knows there's another set of novels to the series.

Books before they were Famous :Beastly

Beastly starting Vanessa Hudgens, of the High School Musical fame, is actually a book written by Alex Flinn. Beastly is the modern day version of Beauty and the Beast  so if you like see modern day fairy tales go check out the movies, but please know it was a book first so go get the book and read first or afterwards.

MUNKY BUNS a twist to sock monkeys

For the longest time I never understood folks collecting and/or sleeping with sock monkeys. Even though sock monkeys have an interesting history and were once international fad, I wasn't interested in them until I was doing research for a friend of mine on stuff toy companies and Munky Buns came up and it blew me away.

Munky Buns  take the sock monkey up to another snatch! Another level because their sock monkey are custom made and not crazy prices, but very affordable and no two Munky Buns are the same.

I've showed them around to my friends, the look on their face are one in amazement followed by, where can I get one for their own child, or niece or even for themselves. Munky Buns, make sock monkeys out of all types of socks and also makes different of sock monkeys such as the Spider Munky Bun and Emily Strange sock doll.

The 44 cent Hobby

The 44 cent hobby

Yes there is a hobby that's cheaper than 99 cent! Can you believe it. It's something that used legally but hardly now a days. What is it? STAMPS!

Yes stamps is a hobby. Thank about it when was the last time you've mailed anything that wasn't a package (parcel)? With debit cards and easy pay, we don't mail out bills out anymore.

If you buy anything from ebay or an online store that doesn't take credit card, it'd take paypal or google pay, in either case you don't mail that payment nor do you go to get a money order.

Also we are not sending letters or Birthday cards, it's emails, e-cards, text messaging and facebook!

And yet, USPS (United States Postal Service) issues stamps and they come out seasonally.

Alot of these seasonal stamps that they do have are limited, meaning they are not around forever nor can you buy them when its done.

I have to admit I had purchased the DC comics and Marvel comics just to have them because it was a rare event and there may never be another time that USPS would issue them.

Back then it only costed me 37 cents each, BUT  the fact of matter is that it's mine, however if and when I need money in the future-guess what-I can sell them.

Don't let the line at USPS scare you, you can actually buy stamps online directly from them.

Happy Meals the HOBBY

Happy Meals to Go!
by Parker Mann

Going to work is not a hobby. Texting is not a hobby, neither is workout and shacking up. A hobby is something that you enjoy, something that's your own, that breaks you away from the outside world (not "puff puff pass" either). It helps relieve us from the stress that we put on ourselves day in and out. And another thing that hobbies do it allows us to be an expert in a field that we are passionate about.

Not all hobbies are equal. I know someone who collects procelin figurines, another collects t-shirts, another black dolls, and for it's comic books. Alot our hobbies could've been from interest we had from our childs, or something that we picked up along the way. But more often a hobby starts because a of  fad. One of the fads I would like to talk to you about that is growing amongst adults is vinyl toys.

Vinyl toys are more than that just newest Barbie doll thats coming out, it vinyl toys that are out in limited numbers. For example the population in a small city or town may be 100,000 so per 100,000 there will 50 vinyl toys in the store. As you can see from that number  collectors and sellers are out hustling.

But you don't need to break major bread to get into vinyl hobby

Remember when Beanie babies were the craze, Mc Donald's did a series of Beanie babies I do believe twice or three times, I recall adults going to McDonalds for lunch or dinner and ordering a Happy Meal just to get the toy!

Folks are still doing it to this, Alvin the Chipmunks toys, is a current example of that. For Burger King it was Sponage Bob Square figures.

These Food Corps. know that folks are collecting the toys, now you can just order the toys and skip over the meal!

Sellers/collectors know that adults are into collecting burger meal toys, go to EBAY and type in "burger king kids meal toys" or "McDonald's happy meal toys" and you  will come across so many toys that are current, from your childhood and even before your time.

Another place are discount stores and 99 stores. You find rare items there to start your collection. And also going to yard sales and thirft stores. There's no need to break bank. You are in control of how much spend on your hobby. You can spend 12 dollars a year (a buck a month)or larger.

Alright folks have fun collecting!
