Happy New Year and welcome to Y (Why) not YA(Young Adult novels) blog. I writing this blog because I'm a YA fiction writer. I grew up on it and even as an adult, who read all types of books, I still find myself looking at the YA novels.
As a teenager a lot of the authors hit topics that allowed me to feel stronger after reading and not so alone with issues that I had at home and/or school. The main two to for me were Walter Dean Myer's Somewhere in the Darkness and Katherine Paterson's Jacob Have I loved.
Now as a writer, I've been giving endless suggestions of books to read, I've seen so many reviews, and come across so many authors from so many different styles and types with the dash of thoughts of my creating my own.
But this YA blog is not about me, at less not all of you it, its about the business of YA novels, introduction of YA writers and books, and of course the vanity of it all, some of my own.
